Jeremy Harley

Coach Jeremy grew up in Southern Maryland, where he played youth soccer for SMYO and at North Point High School. He later became a licensed referee, officiating for five years and developing a strong understanding of the game from multiple perspectives.

He began his coaching career while attending the University of Maryland, serving as an assistant coach for a U15 girls team that won an SMYSL championship and reached multiple finals. After graduating, Coach Jeremy took on a larger leadership role with SMYO as both a board member and head coach of the U19 coed team. Under his guidance, the program grew from just 11 players to over 40 across two teams, while also achieving an undefeated futsal season, a Potomac Futsal League championship, and an SMYSL silver medal following an undefeated outdoor regular season.

Coach Jeremy also joined the McDonough High School boys soccer program as JV head coach and varsity assistant, continuing to develop players at the high school level. He joined ASA in Fall 2025, where he led his 08/09 girls red team to a top-four NCSL finish and a runner-up placement at the Hunt Country Fall Classic. Coach Jeremy is passionate about creating a positive, competitive environment where players can grow both on and off the field, and takes pride in helping them build confidence, skill, and a love for the game.

Off the field, Coach Jeremy works as a Software Engineer at Cvent. He is an avid fantasy football player, enjoys golfing, and is a passionate fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals, and FC Barcelona. As a Native American and proud member of the Piscataway Conoy Tribe, he actively engages with his culture through his involvement with his tribal community. He also continues to be involved with the University of Maryland’s Native American and Indigenous Student Union and regularly guest lectures in a tribal history course at UMD, where he helps educate others on the history, culture, and resilience of his people.
