/Summer Advanced Day and Evening Camps
an opportunity to focus on specific individual, small group and team training topics
Advanced Camps provide Junior Academy and Academy players an opportunity to focus on specific individual, small group and team training topics that fit into the club’s curriculum during a week of intense & fun development.
Players are organized into gender and ability specific training groups for the majority of the sessions. They rotate through stations working with Academy and ASA guest coaches on different topics.
Goalkeepers are encouraged to join the camp for a week of specialty keeper training. Focus will be on shot stopping technique, agility, reactions and awareness. Goalkeepers will be trained in how to save shots from different angles, proper footwork to prepare the body and hands, communication techniques to organize the defense and an understanding of how to distribute the ball to teammates to begin the attack.
Speciality staff (Injury & Fitness Prevention coach) will be on hand working with the 13U & older age groups. Specific station work will be both with and without a ball focusing on core body work, fitness, footwork, agility, strength, speed and more.
