Therese Franco Waltrich

Coach Therese grew up in Reston, VA and played for several competitive clubs in Northern Virginia. Then, she attended the College of William and Mary and played for the Club Soccer team throughout her undergraduate years.

Last year Therese supported the ASA pre-GA 2014 group as an assistant coach with Adem Gokturk. Previously, she spent five years coaching for ASA's Junior Academy program and at the high school varsity level. She has also played for ASA's Women's Futsal Program since 2019.

Her hopes as a coach are to support players to continue to grow their love for soccer and to build positive identities as athletes and persons.

When she's not coaching, Therese loves to be active and continues to play both soccer and futsal. She hopes to play as long as she can to keep both her body and mind strong! As her day job, Therese works for Arlington Public Schools as a High School Math Teacher and has taught/coached mathematics at the elementary and secondary levels for the past 12+ years. She loves supporting students and players to grow as lifelong learners in the classroom, in sports, and whatever their other passions might be.
