Welcome to Spring2Action 2025! Alexandrians will come together on Spring2Action, April 9th to support organizations important to our community. Each year we raise critical funds to ensure kids in our community have access to safe, fun and high quality soccer and futsal programming. We believe in the power of sport to transcend lives and make a BIG impact on children of all ages. Let’s have some fun and raise some money!
Early Giving!
Let’s get a jump start on the fun.
The age group which raises the most money during the early giving window (March 26 – April 8) will receive a limited edition ASA Spirit T-Shirt sponsored by PieceOut Del Ray. (Each youth participant in the age group will receive a t-shirt).
April 9 — HERE WE GO!
To kick things off on Spring2Action, ASA’s Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and Carydale Apartments are coming together to pledge money towards a Donation Challenge (amount to be announced soon!). Once we hit 50 donations on April 9th, we will unlock their match – helping us get to our overall goal of $50,000!
Tips for Giving:
- Give during the power hours to make your gift even more impactful
- Split your donation up, using multiple email addresses, to represent each member of your family
- Keep an eye on the Academy Leaderboard to see who’s WINNING (and to easily find your team’s donation page).
- If every participant on your team is represented with a donation of $5 or more your team wins a pizza party — let’s come together to support our community!
Coaches Challenge:
If your age group raises the most money or has the most donors — Academy Coaches have agreed to participate in a coaches challenge (pie toss, TikTok dance, dyed hair & more). Rally your group to unlock your Coaches Challenge on April 9!
11am Power Hour
ASA’s 11am – 12pm power hour is sponsored by the Zotheka Foundation, which supports ASA athletes with college scholarships. Every $30+ donation during this Power Hour gets two free tickets to the June 8 Alexandria Reds NPSL game. During a halftime ceremony Zotheka will award their 2025 scholarship recipient.
3pm Power Hour
Our 3:00 – 4:00pm power hour is sponsored by The Jen Walker Team, a proud supporter of our Academy Financial Aid Fund. We are happy to announce that the Jen Walker Team will also be our new training jersey sponsor! Welcome to the ASA Family Jen Walker Team!
7pm Power Hour
A sneak peek of the Eli Memorial Bench Shelter which will be featured at Witter beginning this fall!
Our 7:00 – 8:00pm power hour is dedicated to the memory of Eli Medrano.
Eli Medrano was a standout soccer participant on the 2023-24 ASA U9 Boys Red team. He was a soccer fanatic and an absolute joy to watch on the field, always smiling, uplifting others and supporting his teammates. Eli had a larger than life personality with a terrific sense of humor and a smile that could light up the room.
All donations during this hour will be donated in Eli’s memory and support the new Academy Financial Aid Fund. Thank you to Sage Training for pledging $2,500 during this hour to honor Eli.
10pm Power Hour
The FINAL power hour of the day, from 10:00 – 11:00pm, is allllllll about prizes! Thank you for your support and enthusiasm throughout the day. Every donation of $15 or more enters you to win one of the following prizes!
