Academy Team Overviews
The ASA Academy program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive soccer experience that develops each participant both on and off the field. The program features quality facilities, professional coaches, appropriate levels of competition, and a variety of local, regional and national competition.
Player Pathway
- U9-U10: Smallest rosters & field, localized experience, 7v7 game day
- U11-U12: Smaller roster & field, somewhat localized experience, 9v9 game day
- U13-U15: Expanding rosters, introduction to regional experiences with tournaments, 11v11 full sided games
- U16-U19: Oldest teams, larger rosters, regional competition, showcase tournaments–balancing academics, club and high school experience
Annual Calendar
June - July
Generally no team training in June & July. Coaches may opt for optional training sessions. Training programs available.
August - November
2-4 practices/week, 8-9 league games, tournaments
December
Most teams are OFF. Option to participate in winter futsal programming

Club Pathway
ASA offers a wide range of league and competition opportunities. Outside of league play, all activities (practices, scrimmages, half of games, three tournaments) take place in Alexandria.

Academy teams will participate in one of the experiences below. A team’s participation in an experience is dependent on variables such as level of play, commitment level of team members, overall season schedule and age. Some teams may add supplementary events throughout the season.
