Alexandria Growth program

3rd — 6th grade

The Alexandria Growth Program (AGP) bridges the experience between the Recreational League and Academy programs for 3rd – 6th graders. The AGP is for players interested in trying out for the Academy in the future OR for kids looking for an extra practice + game per week in a structured environment with professional coaches.

Participants are grouped into teams that will compete against Rec+ teams from other clubs in the area. All AGP coaches either have or are pursuing US Soccer Coaching Licensure.

AGP Program Summary & Cost

Registration fees cover one season (fall or spring) of Alexandria Growth Program (AGP). Practices are on Monday and/or Wednesday. If your child opts to attend one practice per week you can select which day to attend.

Kids will be assigned to a team that they will train and play with during league games. This team will be coached by an ASA professional coach. We make every effort to pair friends together upon request.

Program includes:

ASA age-appropriate curriculum and philosophy taught from day one
Sunday games in the Metro Community League in the fall and spring
Training and games on premium grass and turf fields
One or two practices per week

Prices:

Option 1 – $400 (One practice a week, games included)
Option 2 – $580 (Two practices a week, games included)
Option 3 – $220 (One practice a week, games NOT included)

Training Items

Training uniform: Blue ASA Shirt, Black Shorts, Black Socks. Other equipment: Size 4 ball, ideally pumped to at least 7 PSI; Shin guards; Water bottle.

Uniform Details

Participants signed up for Options 1 or 2 will participate in games and are required to purchase a red ASA jersey and have jersey numbers applied. Blue ASA shirts should also have numbers applied. Number application, and jersey purchases can be done at the ASA office.

TeamSnap

All families will have access to TeamSnap for their child’s respective team. TeamSnap is our main organizational tool and includes a detailed team schedule of practices and games, the ability to mark availability so that coaches can plan practices, and a chat feature to get in touch with coaches or other families for help.
