Leidos Announced as Alexandria Soccer Presenting Sponsor

Alexandria, Virginia — Alexandria Soccer Association is thrilled to announce Leidos as a program presenting sponsor. Leidos will sponsor the Recreational League, Summer Camps and the winter Futsal League.

“We love supporting organizations in the communities where we live and work — especially those geared toward helping position future generations for success and healthy lifestyles,” said Roger Krone, Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “This sponsorship will help us inspire local youth who may one day help us solve the tough challenges of tomorrow.”

The recreational league is ASA’s largest program with over 3,000 annual participants. The league is made possible by the amazing work of our volunteer coaches. It’s incredible to see siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents come out to the fields to cheer on Saturday mornings in the spring and fall–a family affair! Summer camps take place almost every week throughout the summer and our futsal league, one of the largest in the country, runs from January-March.

Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Leidos’ mission is to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient through information technology, engineering, and science. They’re equally committed to using time and resources to support people, enrich communities, and protect the environment. “It was clear from our first meeting that Leidos’ community centered vision lined up perfectly with our goals and mission at ASA,” said Tommy Park, Executive Director. The support of grassroots soccer is a wonderful way for Leidos to give back to the community in the national capital region.

Keep an eye out for brand new Leidos branded jersey’s as ASA rolls them out this summer and fall. Fingers crossed for a surprise visit from the Leidos Ice Cream truck at an ASA event in the near future!
