Coach

Jeremy Harley

Coach Jeremy brings a strong local soccer background and a passion for player development to ASA. A Southern Maryland native, he grew up playing for Southern Maryland Youth Organization (SMYO) and competed at the high school level for North Point High School. In 2017, he earned his referee license and quickly became a familiar face on the fields across the region.

While attending the University of Maryland, he began his coaching career as an assistant with SMYO’s U15 girls team, helping guide the squad to a championship in the spring of 2021. After graduating in 2023, he joined the SMYO board of directors and was named head coach of the U19 coed outdoor and futsal teams. Under his leadership, the teams enjoyed two undefeated regular seasons and secured a futsal championship in 2025. In Fall 2024, he joined the coaching staff for McDonough High School as the JV Boys head coach and varsity assistant coach.

Having lived in Alexandria since 2023, Coach Jeremy joined ASA in summer 2025 to take on a new challenge and continue his coaching journey in a community that shares his love for the game. He brings a balance of competitive experience, tactical knowledge, and a commitment to helping players grow both on and off the field.

Off the field, Coach Jeremy works as a Software Engineer at Cvent. He is an avid fantasy football player, enjoys golfing, and is a passionate fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals, and FC Barcelona. As a Native American and proud member of the Piscataway Conoy Tribe, he actively engages with his culture through his involvement with his tribal community. He also continues to be involved with the University of Maryland’s Native American and Indigenous Student Union and regularly guest lectures in a tribal history course at UMD, where he helps educate others on the history, culture, and resilience of his people.
