Gabriel Diaz

Coach Diaz was born and raised in a small town in Southeastern Connecticut. Over the course of his career, he has played, trained, and coached at every level of soccer in the United States, including the Academy & MLSNext, Division I & II, UPSL, MASL, USL, and MLS. He grew up playing most of his soccer in Connecticut and throughout the Northeast, including at Southern Connecticut State University and Syracuse University. While in college, Diaz also partnered with the University of Connecticut (UCONN) Men’s Soccer team to create and implement soccer and health clinics in South Africa and Costa Rica.

Coach Diaz moved to Northern Virginia about two years ago and immediately began coaching with ASA and the Junior Academy. He is an avid supporter of F.C. Barcelona and grew up idolizing Lionel Messi.
