As the fall soccer season gets underway, we are excited to share information about Academy Futsal (which runs from December to February)! Academy soccer participants and teams are encouraged to utilize the winter futsal experience to stay active and build upon their fall season.
Futsal is uniquely structured to increase repetitions on the ball in a 5v5 format that helps improve decision-making in a tight and fast environment. We structure Academy Futsal to focus on individual development and support outdoor soccer. Our goal is to keep teammates together throughout the winter futsal season to build on team chemistry and existing relationships.
We utilize a unique Player Placement Process to build futsal rosters. ASA Academy Soccer and Academy Futsal coaches collaborate to form competitive futsal teams that participate in either our local, state, or regional experiences from December through February.
The Academy Futsal program provides the most comprehensive futsal experience in the region. ASA believes futsal and soccer are complementary sports that support the growth and development of participants. Holistically, futsal is a part of our annual development plan and we encourage both veteran futsal players and those who are new to the sport to explore this opportunity to learn from certified coaches with a passion for teaching the fast-paced game.
Our high school MLS Next & Girls NL participants will have a unique futsal schedule to accommodate the outdoor soccer showcase schedule.
Alexandria Futsal is one of the nation’s most decorated futsal programs:
- 10+ players have represented US Futsal National teams in Men’s, Women’s, and youth divisions
- 5 ASA coaches have represented US Futsal at national team training camps and international competitions
- 16 Regional and National Finalists
- 16 Regional and National Champions

- Futsal League — ages 5-19; register as an individual to be placed on a team or put together a team and register together
Futsal Growth Program — grades 3rd – 6th; register as an individual

Academy Futsal Calendar Season:
Academy Futsal teams are projected to have one training session indoors and one training session outdoors. Projected Facilities:
