Press Release: Alexandria Soccer Association Launches Adult Soccer and Futsal Leagues

We’re expanding our program offerings to include league play for adults (ages 19+) beginning this winter. The addition of Adult Leagues will provide Alexandria and surrounding communities an opportunity to come together around the game, not just at the youth level but at all ages. Alongside league competition the programs will bring the adult community together through special events (i.e. DC United tailgates), happy hours and provide volunteer support for the Alexandria youth community in numerous ways.

ASA’s new Adult Leagues will provide adult players the same safe and enjoyable soccer experience our youth players experience. Offerings will consist of competitive and recreational divisions for women, men and coed groups.

Registration is now open for the Winter Indoor Futsal League. Games will played on Sunday evenings at Kids Choice Gym futsal courts in Annandale. For the futsal this winter there will be a coed and men’s leagues with two divisions of competition in each. Outdoor soccer leagues will be offered in the Spring as well as Spring and Fall outdoor futsal.

The addition of the Adult Leagues will allow ASA to better support youth participants along with the Alexandria community. Current youth members in the community will have an opportunity to stay connected to the club (or join for the first time!) into adulthood.

ASA has worked alongside the Alexandria City Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities (RPCA) to introduce the new leagues alongside their existing programs. For questions, comments or concerns about the new Adult Leagues please the Adult League manager Peja Ilic.
