Eli Smith

Coach Eli grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he played soccer from an early age up through high school. He found success in helping his team to the IAHSAA State Championship in 2013 as well as the Iowa State Cup championship. He went on to play collegiate soccer at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota before transferring to Iowa State University.

Eli joined ASA in the Spring of 2023 after spending the past five years in the Army. He has always found a way to continue his love of soccer through playing, coaching, and organizing leagues wherever possible. He seeks to assist and inspire the next generation of soccer players in their love of the beautiful game. Eli is currently working on his USSF "D" license.
