Luis Medrano

A lifelong Chelsea fan, Luis has 7+ years of coaching experience and has been working with ASA for over 4 years. Luis played at several local clubs and Mount Vernon High School (State Champions 2013). He started GK training in 2016 at Old Dominion University and the City of Norfolk, began assistant coaching with DC Scores in 2018, then head coaching in ASA's Academy, Futsal, and Junior Academy in 2019. Luis has privately trained goalkeepers from U9 - UPSL level since 2020. In the Summer of 2009 Luis visited Buenos Aires to train and learn from Boca Juniors academy coaches and during the Summer of 2023, Luis coached an ASA team in Barcelona where he learned from FC Barcelona Escola coaches. Luis is currently a USSF "C" License candidate.

When not coaching, Luis is also a law student at American University WCL and runs a family business, "Jefe's Horns", selling his grandfather's Tex-Mex longhorn art all over the world.
