Interested in becoming a Tots Coach?!

ASA is hiring committed, enthusiastic, hard working individuals interested in working with 2-4 year olds. Coaches are hired on a rolling basis throughout the year and are generally asked to support a full 4-6 week season. Weekend morning flexibility is required. Classes are held in Alexandria.

Requirements:

ASA is hiring committed, enthusiastic, hard working individuals interested in working with 2-4 year olds. Coaches are hired on a rolling basis throughout the year and are generally asked to support a full 4-6 week season. Weekend morning flexibility is required. Classes are held in Alexandria. 

Requirements: 

  • Experience with children (should be able to handle a group of 10 or more children)
  • Great communicator (with children, parents and ASA staff) 
  • Professional appearance (ASA t-shirt, shorts and pants provided) 
  • Enthusiasm and passion for working with this age group. You MUST be ready to have FUN, be GOOFY, use your imagination, and create a positive environment.
  • Reliable Transportation. You are responsible for driving yourself to each class.
  • General Soccer Knowledge. Soccer skill as a player or coach is highly preferred, but NOT required; however, having a passion and familiarity with soccer is desired.
Tots coaches will need to pass a background check and be CPR/first aid certified (or willing to get certified).

The tots program uses volunteers for check-in, distributing soccer balls and more. Weekday and weekend opportunities are available. Open to ages 13+. Email Liz Blount if you’re interested in volunteering at [email protected].
