Nick Conklu

Lead Coach & Operations Assistant

In his role as a lead coach Nick works with a variety of ASA programs; leading goalkeepers in the Academy and MLS Next, guiding curriculum, assisting with teams, leading summer camps and more. As an operations assistant he helps keep things running smoothly and ensures that facilities and fields around the city are safe and ready for play.

Nick grew up in Arlington, VA and is a local soccer product of the DMV. He has played as a goalkeeper for 15 years, from recreation, to club soccer with Arlington Soccer Association, VA State & Region 1 ODP, as well as winning the 2016 VA Boys State Soccer Championship with his high school varsity team.

His six years of NCAA college soccer playing experience includes four years at the College of the Holy Cross (NCAA D1) & two seasons at Molloy University (NCAA D2). In his short time at Molloy, Nick helped lead the program to two consecutive conference championships and an NCAA tournament appearance, earning All-Conference honors and being named the Conference Goalkeeper of the Year. He currently plays for the Alexandria Reds semi-professional team which competes in the UPSL & NPSL.

Nick has a deep love and passion for soccer and enjoys helping, motivating, and inspiring young players to strive for excellence and achieve their goals.
